Lovely condition modified and refinished ‘79-81 Stratocaster! Grab yourself some great value when you buy a modded one like this.

From some of the red shining through (evident in various shots) this was potentially wine red initially. It’s also been routed for a humbucker at the bridge and (I think) the pickups aren’t original, the pots certainly aren’t.

Despite these mods, in fact because of the mods in my view, this is one of the nicest Strats from this time I’ve played. The neck is super smooth and it sounds lovely plugged in.

Given a standard American Professional is now this price or more this makes for a FAR more interesting use of £1,500.
