‘The Katana Bolt-on is very similar to its neck-thru sibling, but it has some distinct differences. The guitar's body is crafted from a single piece of swamp ash. The bolt-on ovankol neck features a wenge fingerboard. Whether configured as a 4- or 5-string, the Katana Bolt-on features two active MEC Gold J pickups and a 2-band active MEC EQ. Like most ash basses, the Katana Bolt-on has incredibly warm lows and bright highs. The bolt-on neck design enhances midrange response, which helps achieve clarity and articulation in the mix.’
